Greetings!
This blog is somewhat of an experiment; I am writing a book based on the experiences and understandings I have aquired in eighty years of living in this disfunctional but wonderful world. I consider my life of the last thirty years to be an enlightened life. I do not expect others to see it this way. I am not known as a “sage”, a “guru”, a “spiritual leader”, and do not wish to be so regarded. I will not try to meet the expectations of others. Until recently, I have not spoken of my “transformation” to anyone besides my present wife, who is one of the least judgemental persons I have known. I was a seeker, a questor, for many decades of this lifetime, and I know what misconceptions we people can have about “enlightenment”, “awakening”, “self-discovery”, “realization”, or whatever else this transformation of identity is called. Many individuals have had experiences of “illumination”, or “awakening”, and have written books, given talks, seminars, and lessons, hoping to explain what the terms mean, and how people can prepare themselves for this “transformation”. Enlightenment is no secret. Some of the books, old, and more recently published, present descriptions of “enlightenment” and guidelines to self-discovery that are so clearly and beautifully written that I don’t see how they can be improved upon. I certainly do not think I could improve on what is already out there, which is why I have been quiet for so long. To be completely accurate, I admit that I did teach classes and seminars relating to this subject shortly after my big event, while I was “high” with it, and felt I could help others along the “way”. I found that the “others” had expectations, agendas, and beliefs, that they were not ready to discard, which I knew was OK for them; what I had to offer was just not relevant. After a short time, I ended my attempt to be a “guru”.
At this time, most people are still at a different place in their development, but I have recently been pleased to find on web and blog sites that many around the world are more open in their thinking and understand on deeper levels the good information that has been so widely shared.
Nothing has been written since August of last year. Is this site still active?

Hi Stephani,
I have had practically no response to this blog, and with no feedback, I do not have the feeling anyone is reading it. It probably needs more exposure, but other than placing links to it on a few relevant sites, I really don’t know how to promote it. Perhaps the material is just not what folks are interested in.
Thank you for your response! John
